George and I are going on Friday(7-30-10) to cut the log on utopia.  Will leave Walmart at 8:30.  Taking 2 jeeps.  Open seats for helpers.

Humm.... I don't work Fridays. I might have to steal my wifes sidekick.

FYI - I just checked and that area is still open for 4wd use (no public use fire restrictions for offroad vehicles  ... yet), but you have to stop using a chain saw at 1pm based on the industrial fire precaution lvl 2 rules.

I decided I'm going to stay home and get some work done around the house.

Left a 8:30.  Drove to Utopia Trail.  Cut two logs before I got to the log for last year.  It was a rotton 36+ snag off the hill.  Cut it then pushed it with the Jeep.  Then cut one log below the slide.  A bike or motorcycle can go threw it now.  We need a BIG work party to remove the slide or a bobcat.  With a little one a Quad got go through.

cheers Is the noonday trail open for adoption? Strawberry hill club brought it up at the last region six meeting at Benson Snow Park and were wanting to know whats going to happen with it since there isn't a club maintaining it. Info can be relayed to Paul and Rick whom are Officers in their club.

Jeff, Seth, George, and I have kept it open.  The Forest Service sent a brush crew to clean up the hotel area on top.  Talk to LT.  He and Brian were still talking to Melissa.
I'm just trying to help.
